New Project!

New year means new projects! We've been having a lot of ideas these last weeks about what we should be doing and focusing on for spring, and one of our Chairmans have been talking to her friend from Zambia, who is in a foundation called Agents of Change (more facts about the foundation will be coming on a later post). His name is Brighton, and what we would like to do is to help him and Agents of Change, to fix up a local school (Taonga Community School).

Two pupils in the school. Chanda is on the left and Mulenga on the right.

Brighton in red T-shirt and glasses.

There are 60 children, from grade 1-7, who goes to this school, and there's only one teacher who has been volunteering for 12 years now.
It leaks through the roof, and now it is rain season there, which makes it hard for the children to learn.

The school has one classroom for the children to be in.

What we'd like to do is help Brighton and Agents of Change, to set this up. As you all can see in the pictures, the school could be in a better shape. Our goal, and I think I speak for all of us in Tibble UN association, is that we will put our hearts and souls into this project, and we will try to do eveything we can so these children can go to school and learn.

Before the project can be implemented, we have to make a project plan. This will be the trickiest part, since we have to puzzle everything together. We can't ensure you that the project will be viable. What we can ensure you is that we will do everything we can to fix this school.

Hope everyone reading this would like to join us on this project.
